1 APPLICATION OF TERMS
1.1 Please read these Terms of Use (“Terms”) carefully. These Terms govern your use and access of the Platform. By accessing and using the Platform, you agree to these Terms.
1.2 Where your access and use is on behalf of another person (e.g. a company), you confirm that you are authorised to, and do in fact, agree to these Terms on that person’s behalf and that, by agreeing to these Terms on that person’s behalf, that person is bound by these Terms.
1.3 If you do not agree to these Terms, you are not authorised to access and use the Platform, and you must immediately stop doing so.
1.4 Subject to your compliance with these Terms, Epson grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Platform solely for your own use.
1.5 These Terms shall be in force as of 1 July 2025.
2 CHANGES
2.1 Epson may change these Terms at any time by updating them on the Platform. Unless stated otherwise, any change takes effect immediately. You are responsible for ensuring you are familiar with the latest Terms. By continuing to access and use the Platform, you are deemed to agree to be bound by the changed Terms. If you do not accept the changes, you must stop use of Platform and Service.
2.2 Epson may change, suspend, discontinue, or restrict access to, the Platform without notice or liability, including but not limited to the following:
a. In case any maintenance, inspection or upgrading of software or equipment such as servers is required, or when a problem arises.
b. In cases where Epson determines that it is necessary.
3 DEFINITIONS
The following terms shall have the following meanings unless the context otherwise requires: “Document” refers to any document or file which may be uploaded to the Platform, and which is to be printed by the Service. “Epson” refers to the relevant entity of the Epson Singapore Pte Ltd group of companies as follows:
i. Epson Singapore Pte Ltd, if you reside in Singapore;
ii. Epson Malaysia Sdn Bhd, if you reside in Malaysia or Brunei;
iii. Epson Philippines Corporation, if you reside in the Philippines;
iv. Epson (Thailand) Co., Ltd, if you reside in Thailand;
v. Epson Vietnam Company Limited, if you reside in Vietnam.
“Payment Gateway” refers to the platform through which the Payment Service is provided by the Payment Service Provider.
“Payment Service” refers to the payment processing services through which you may make payment for the Service, depending on the country in which you are using the Platform and Service, and which is operated and provided by the Payment Service Provider.
“Payment Service Provider” refers to the independent external third party Payment Service providers, including Stripe, Inc., or such other payment service providers as may be specified by Epson.
“Personal Data” means information about an identifiable, living person, and includes personal data, personally identifiably information and equivalent information under applicable privacy and data protection laws.
“Platform” refers to the online application known as “iPrintAnywhere”, to be accessed via a web browser.
“Printer” refers to printers that are eligible for use in conjunction with Platform and/or Service.
“Service” refers to the on-demand printing service of iPrintAnywhere made available on Platform.
“WhatsApp” refers to the instant messaging and voice-over-IP services owned and provided by WhatsApp LLC.
4 GENERAL USE OF SERVICE
4.1 You agree to comply with all instructions pertaining to Platform and Service.
4.2 Epson may upgrade, modify, suspend, or discontinue, whether in whole or in part, the provision of Service. Epson shall not be liable if any such upgrade, modification, suspension or discontinuance prevents you from using any part of Service.
4.3 You agree to take sole responsibility for all content that you upload and cause to be printed via Platform in connection with your use of Service. Epson shall not be liable for any such content.
4.4 You warrant and represent that you are at least of the legal age of majority in order to use the Platform or Service. Any use of the Platform or Service by a user below the legal age of majority shall be subject to these Terms which are deemed to have been accepted by the user’s parents or legal guardian, and any use of the Platform or Service by such users is deemed to have been under the control of and supervision by the user’s parents or legal guardian.
5 YOUR USE OF PLATFORM AND SERVICE
5.1 You may initiate a print order by accessing the Platform through a URL link provided by the WhatsApp chatbot for the Platform, uploading a Document onto the Platform, receiving a quotation for the print and making the necessary payment(s). After which, you will receive (1) a receipt for the print order; (2) the list of nearby Printers; and (3) a One-Time Password (“OTP”).
5.2 You will then be required to proceed to a Printer and enter the OTP, which will initiate said Printer to print your Document. You shall handle the Printer with care when printing and collecting your prints.
5.3 All issued OTPs shall be valid for a limited period and all Documents shall only be available to be printed within 24 hours from the time the Document is uploaded. Epson shall not be liable to refund you in the event you do not print the Document before the expiration of the OTP. All copies of Documents shall be deleted from the Platform immediately upon printing by you or 24 hours from the time the Document is uploaded, whichever is earlier.
5.4 You acknowledge and agree that the quality of any print from a Document is dependent on the quality of the Document, and in the event a Document is of low quality (including but not limited to clarity, resolution, colour intensity, or containing corrupted or unreadable data), the quality of the resulting print of the Document will be affected. Epson shall not be held liable for any loss or damage incurred caused by any print of unsatisfactory quality due to the low quality of a Document.
5.5 Prices quoted on the Platform shall be inclusive of applicable governmental taxes.
5.6 Until you have duly made payment for the Service, Epson is not obliged to provide access to the Platform or to provide the Service to you.
6 USE OF WHATSAPP AND PAYMENT GATEWAY
6.1 Access to the Platform shall be through the Platform chatbot on WhatsApp, and information related to your use of the Service shall be sent to you through the Platform chatbot on WhatsApp. When using the Platform chatbot on WhatsApp, you agree to comply with all relevant terms of service of WhatsApp LLC that may be applicable from time to time. No information is required to be submitted by you to WhatsApp specifically to use the Service, although WhatsApp may separately require information from you for use of WhatsApp generally, and information submitted by you to WhatsApp shall be your responsibility.
6.2 To use WhatsApp or the Payment Gateway, you will need a device that meets WhatsApp’s and the Payment Gateway’s respective system and compatibility requirements (which may change from time to time), working internet access, and compatible software. Your ability to use WhatsApp or the Payment Gateway may be affected these factors. Such system requirements are your responsibility.
6.3 The WhatsApp chatbot and Payment Gateway are provided “as is” and without any representation of warranty, whether express, implied or statutory. Epson specifically disclaims and exclude any implied warranties of title, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
6.4 Epson does not guarantee continuous, uninterrupted or secure access to any part of WhatsApp chatbot or the Payment Gateway, and operation of the Platform may be temporarily suspended during certain block out dates or for maintenance or upgrade, or interfered with by numerous factors outside of our control.
6.5 To the maximum extent permitted under law, you irrevocably agree that none of Epson and its related corporations and their respective affiliates, officers, directors, agents, joint ventures, employees and suppliers shall have any liability to you of any nature whatsoever for any loss, expense, claim or damage, whether direct or indirect, that you may suffer or incur or be exposed to in connection with your use (or inability to use) of WhatsApp or the Payment Gateway, any data provided to WhatsApp or the Payment Gateway or the disclosure thereof, or any breach of the terms of WhatsApp or the Payment Service Provider.
6.6 By using WhatsApp or the Payment Gateway, you hereby agree to indemnify and keep indemnified Epson and in addition do not hold Epson responsible, for any and all liabilities, financial losses, claims, damages and/or expenses which Epson may incur from the misuse of the WhatsApp chatbot or the Payment Gateway, your breach of these Terms or infringement of our intellectual property (as applicable) as a result of your use of the WhatsApp chatbot or the Payment Gateway.
Payment Gateway
6.7 Payment Gateway is a payment service used on Platform to process payment for your print orders, which is provided by the Payment Service Provider. Your use of Payment Gateway is subject to the terms of use of the Payment Service Provider, and your agreement to any applicable user agreement in relation to your chosen payment method. Your use of your cards with the Payment Gateway is also subject to the prevailing terms and conditions imposed by your card issuer.
6.8 The Payment Gateway facilitates payment transactions either by using a credit or debit card registered via the Payment Gateway, or by inter-bank person-to-merchant transfers. By using the Payment Gateway, you authorise the Payment Service Provider to process your transfer, credit or debit card, when you conduct transactions or incur fees on the Platform using this Payment Gateway. You agree and acknowledge that the Payment Service Provider is the party responsible for collecting and storing your transfer, credit or debit card information when you use the Payment Gateway, and for processing the transfer, credit or debit card transaction.
6.9 When you make a payment through the Payment Gateway, the transaction is processed through the page operated by the Payment Service Provider. A breakdown of the prices and additional charges are displayed before checkout of your print order, accordingly, when you place a print order, you agree to all amounts, additional charges and the final total amount that is displayed to you. It is assumed that the transacted amount is agreed between you and Epson upon transacting.
6.10 Your use of the Payment Gateway is governed by the applicable terms and privacy policy from your bank or card issuer. You are responsible for any charges and related fees that may be imposed under such bank or card issuer terms or privacy policy as a result of your use of such cards or bank accounts. Nothing in these Terms modify terms of your bank or card issuer, or their privacy policy. In the event of any inconsistency between these Terms and your bank or issuer's terms, these Terms will govern the relationship between you and us with respect to the Payment Gateway, and your bank or issuer's terms will govern the relationship between you and the bank or the issuer.
6.11 You agree not to use the Payment Gateway for unlawful or fraudulent purposes, or otherwise in violation of applicable law and regulation. You agree not to directly or indirectly interfere with, disrupt, or otherwise misuse the Payment Gateway, including any of its related servers, networks, or other infrastructure. You agree that the Payment Gateway is for your personal use, with your own account, credit or debit cards. If you use the Payment Gateway with an eligible corporate card or account, you agree that you are doing so with your employer's authorisation and with the ability to bind your employer to these Terms.
6.12 For usage of the Payment Gateway, you are aware and consent to your sharing and disclosure to the Payment Gateway of information relating to your device, payment, location, account information, particulars (financial or otherwise), any document or transaction and/or any other matters as may be required by the Payment Service Provider to collect, store and use such information to provide you with the Payment Gateway, and where necessary to process your transactions, you also consent to the use, sharing and disclosure of your personal data with the Payment Service Provider and other third parties.
7 REFUNDS
7.1 In the event of an inability to print where the fault lies solely with Epson or the Printer, whether due to a technical malfunction or otherwise, you may immediately seek a refund at [email protected] or such other means as may be informed by Epson from time to time. You acknowledge that in some cases, you may be required to provide the necessary supporting information or documentation on the relevant circumstances. Epson will investigate and will at its discretion determine if you are entitled to a refund.
7.2 Save for the above, there shall be no refunds or cancellation upon payment made by you.
8 PERSONAL DATA
8.1 You acknowledge that you have read and agree to the Personal Data Policy at https://www.epson.com.sg/personaldatapolicy and consent to our collection, use and disclosure of your Personal Data for the purposes as set out in the Personal Data Policy.
9 NO WARRANTY
9.1 Epson makes no representations or warranties related to the Platform or the Service as to non-infringement of trademark, patent, copyright, and all other intellectual property rights and trade secret, privacy, and all other rights of a third party.
9.2 You acknowledge and agree that the use of the Platform or the Service is at your sole risk. The Platform and Service is provided on an “as-is” basis and without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Epson disclaims all warranties (express or implied) including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and infringement of intellectual property rights. Epson also does not warrant that access to the Platform will be uninterrupted or free from viruses or other harmful components.
9.3 To use the Platform and receive the Services, you will need a device that meets the Platform’s system and compatibility requirements, which may change from time to time, working internet access, and compatible software. Your ability to use the Platform and receive the Services may be affected by these factors. Such system requirements are your responsibility. Epson does not warrant that your device will be able to access the Platform or the Service on all devices, and you shall be solely responsible for the updating of your devices (including its operating systems). In the event the Platform provides links to websites and services that are under the control of or operated by third parties and not Epson, you acknowledge and agree that Epson is not responsible for such third-party sites or services, including their accuracy, completeness, timeliness, validity, copyright compliance, legality, decency, quality, or any other aspect thereof. These third-party websites/services are subject to different terms and conditions and when you access and use third party websites/services, you will be legally bound by those terms and conditions. The provision of such links shall not constitute Epson’s authorization, endorsement, sponsorship or affiliation with respect to such website/services, its content, its owners or its providers.
10 INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
10.1 All trademarks, service marks, logos, and trade names displayed on the Platform are the property of Seiko Epson Corporation. You may not use these marks without the prior written permission of Epson or Seiko Epson Corporation.
10.2 Title, ownership rights, and intellectual property rights in and to the Platform shall remain with Epson or its licensors. There shall be no transfer to you of any title to or ownership of the Platform and these Terms shall not be construed as a sale or licence of any rights in the Platform. Epson and/or its licensors reserve all rights not expressly granted herein.
11 PROHIBITED USES OF PLATFORM
11.1 You agree to refrain from the following while using the Platform:
a. Acts which violate laws or regulations, court judgments, decisions or orders, or legally binding administrative measures, or acts which may promote such.
b. Acts of fraud to Epson or any third party, including any submission of falsified or fraudulent information or data to the Platform.
c. Acts which infringe on property, intellectual property rights, privacy, reputation or other rights or interests of Epson or any third party.
d. Acts which may interfere with or lead to malfunction or failure of the Platform or Service, including the use of any external tools or software with the Platform.
e. Uploading or transmitting, or causing to upload or transmit to the Platform or WhatsApp, or printing through the Service, any content that is sexually explicit, offensive, obscene, harassing, defamatory, abusive, threatening, harmful, vulgar, objectionable, or prohibited by law.
f. Acts of disassembling, decompiling, reverse-engineering the Platform, or any other acts analyzing the source code of the Platform.
g. Acts to modify, reproduce, distribute, create derivative works of, publicly display, publicly perform, republish, download, store, or transmit any of the Platform's content.
h. Any violation of any provision of these Terms.
i. Any other act deemed as inappropriate or improper by Epson.
12 TERMINATION
12.1 Epson reserves the rights to immediately terminate the Services to you in its discretion, without prior notification to or consent from you, in the event of any breach of these terms and conditions, including the commission or omission of any of the acts prohibited in clause 11 of these Terms.
13 GOVERNING LAW
13.1 These Terms shall be subject to, governed by, and construed in accordance with the laws of the country in which Epson (as defined in clause 3 above) is incorporated.
14 MISCELLANEOUS
14.1 You shall be bound by and shall fully observe and comply with these Terms, as well as such other terms of use as may be agreed or accepted by you from time to time.
14.2 Limitation of liability. Epson’s total aggregate liability for direct damages under or in connection with these Terms for all claims, whether in contract, tort (including negligence) or otherwise, shall not exceed the total amount paid by you to Epson for each print order, or to the fullest extent permissible under the law if the aforesaid limitation is invalid. In no event shall Epson be liable (whether based on an action or claim in contract, negligence, tort or otherwise) for any of the following, even if informed of the possibility of such costs, claims, expenses, loss and damage from any of the following:
a. Any indirect, incidental, consequential, special or exemplary costs, claims, expenses, loss or damages arising out of or in connection with use of Platform and/or Service;
b. Loss, damages or expenses arising from or in connection with any loss of data;
c. Loss or damage suffered by you as a result of or in connection with any claims brought against you by any third party which arise out of, or in connection with, the use of Platform and/or Service; and/or
d. Loss or damage suffered by you as a result of or in connection with any claims brought against you by any third party which arise out of, or in connection with, the use of Platform and/or Service.
14.3 Indemnity. You undertake and agree to fully indemnify Epson, and to hold Epson harmless from and against any and all damages, losses, expenses, liabilities (including, but not limited to, claims by third parties) and costs (including, but not limited to, legal costs on an indemnity basis) arising whether directly or indirectly from:
a. Your breach of these Terms;
b. Any content you upload or cause to appear on Platform; and/or
c. Any claim by any third party against Epson arising from any representation, warranties or agreements made by you.
14.4 Entire Agreement. These Terms shall constitute the entire agreement between Epson and you relating to Platform and Service and supersedes in full all prior understandings and communications with respect to Platform and Service.
14.5 Waiver. Any non-exercise or enforcement of the rights under these Terms by Epson shall not be deemed as waiver of such rights nor affect any retroactive use of such rights.
14.6 Assignment. You may not assign, transfer, or otherwise dispose of your rights and obligations under these Terms without the express consent of Epson.
14.7 Severability. In case any section of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the validity of other sections of these Terms shall not be affected and shall remain valid and enforceable.
14.8 Prevailing Language. If there is any conflict between the English and any version of these Terms in other languages, the English version shall prevail.
